Side Cart
Category: Cart · Tier: Starter tier (and Pro, Agency) · Marketing page →
What it does
A slide-out cart drawer that appears when a customer adds an item or clicks the cart icon — keeps them on the page instead of bouncing them to /cart/.
Why it matters
Reduces clicks-to-checkout and keeps the buying momentum. The drawer also surfaces shipping progress and the recommended-product slot.
Where to find it
In WordPress admin: ★ Asteris Cart → Modules → Side Cart. The module is enabled by default on every fresh install of a Starter-or-higher licence — disable from the same page if you don”t want it.
Per-module settings live under that same page once enabled. Global module on/off lives at ★ Asteris Cart → Modules (the master switch grid).
Settings reference
Position (left/right), trigger style (auto-open on add, manual open), drawer width, show free-shipping bar inside the drawer, show recommended products, mobile breakpoint, drawer overlay opacity.
Tips
Pair with the Free Shipping Bar module so customers see their progress to free shipping the moment they add an item.
