Field Editor
Category: Checkout · Tier: Pro tier (and Agency) · Marketing page →
What it does
Add, remove, reorder, or customise checkout fields. Supports custom field types, conditional visibility, and required-vs-optional toggles.
Why it matters
Most stores need at least one custom checkout field (referral source, gift message, delivery instructions). Without this module you either edit theme files or install a separate field-editor plugin.
Where to find it
In WordPress admin: ★ Asteris Cart → Modules → Field Editor. The module is enabled by default on every fresh install of a Pro-or-higher licence — disable from the same page if you don”t want it.
Per-module settings live under that same page once enabled. Global module on/off lives at ★ Asteris Cart → Modules (the master switch grid).
Settings reference
Field types (text / textarea / dropdown / radio / checkbox / file upload / date), conditional logic (“show this field only if X = Y”), save to order meta vs customer meta, display in admin order screen.
Tips
Pro tier required. Custom fields automatically appear on the order admin screen and on order-confirmation emails.
