Order Bump for WooCommerce
What it does
A small, contextual offer rendered inside the order-review section of the checkout. The customer can tick a box to add the bump product to their cart, the totals update without a page reload, and the order completes in the same submit. It is one of the cleanest revenue lifts available on a WooCommerce checkout without redirecting or interrupting the customer.
When to use it
Order bumps suit complementary products with low decision friction:
- A digital warranty or extended-support plan
- A consumable that pairs with the main product (filters, refills, accessories)
- A “rush delivery” upgrade
- A small premium variant (“add the giftwrap”)
If the bump price is more than ~20% of the cart subtotal, conversion typically drops sharply. Keep them small, keep them relevant.
